I had the 70 out for a spin the other day and after stoppin at a buddies place for a few minutes I went to take off and my booster for the power brakes was dead!I got it home and checked the vacuum hose and it was fine.I ran the car then shut it off and pulled the hose off at the booster and it sucked in air so I think the diaphram is ok.Any ideas out there???

Did you still have brakes, just no power?

Hard pedal,like you were trying to stop without the engine running!Still have brakes but really gotta push em.

Time for a new booster. I had the same experience. Got off the interstate and had to use two feet on the pedal. Local sources wanted $75--$150 for a rebuilt booster. Got a Cardone and it is fine.
