Some people call it fate or say "it was meant to be". I nevr really bought into it untill today when I started thinking about all of the "signs" I was getting about a trade I was doing. I`m suppost to be trading my old work ool box an tools for a 65 el camino with a new engine/trans, 17" wheels, new painless harness, ect. Not a perfect car but a decent start with some good parts. We both agree we want to do the trade. My problem is the guy lives about 130 miles away so my first issues was finding the time to make it over there. Then with money tight there was the issue of not enough money to cover gas and a trailor rental. I need a small trailor to take my tools over there. So today I finally have the time and the money so we set it up for today. Well first thing is I couldn`t find the trailor I needed at Uhaul untill later in the day which wouldn`t work. No big deal. I`ll just find one in town where I have my tools stored a hour away. So I start out on my journey to finally get my hot rod. I was hungary and needed gas so I stopped and got some food. Started heading over to the gas station on the other side of the over pass and felt a few thumps as the suburban started bucking then smoothed out. I fill up and called my buddy who is a tranny guy and was telling him what happend and should I be worried. I pulled out and it did it again but this time the engine just revved up. I pulled over and I can only move if I manually shift the tranny through the gears. Basically my tranny is shot and I`ll be pulling it tomorrow. I started thinking of all the stuff that keeps coming up everytime I try to do the trade and I started thinking that maybe everything is a sign that I`m not suppost to do the trade. Am I just being weird or does this stuff really happen like that? Needlessto say I still don`t have a runnign toy, got a set of tools a hour away that is collecting dust, and Igot to pull a tranny from a 4wd suburban tomorrow. I just can`t win. At least I`ve kept a sense of humor about it. What else could I do but laugh when my tranny let go. Anyway, just had to get this out. I feel better now.

Every time I've tried to get a car or get something done, I've had the same problem. I feel your pain, buddy.

Been there myself, too many times. But then, think about the times things have gone well for you. Im sure there have been many more good ones than bad ones. I always hear others saying 'everything happens for a reason'. Never bought into it, things just happen! Plain and simple. Sometimes when it's a couple things in a row, it makes you wonder. But I'm confident there's nothing to it....just a little bad luck. Things will get better I'm sure! Good luck.
