: rear not centered with SSM bars

I remove my no-hop bars and installed SSM lift bars (the new Jeg's parts, btw). So I re-installed the bushings in the housing and intalled the upper arms. I carefully measured the pinion angle and drilled the holes to fix the lower lift bars to the stock lower brackets. No problem so far. (Both sides were perfectly even)

When I went to install the tires, I had trouble getting them on. It's always been tight (64 chevelle), but it seems VERY tight. Turns out the rear is shifted ~1/2" towards the passenger side -enough to see a clear shift.

The rear was centered fine when I had the no-hops. Ideas?

Thanks

Sorry I can't add any helpful hints. I installed my Jegs (ssm style) bars a couple of weeks ago. I didn't remove my uppers (just to make sure everything stayed put) and things lined up fine. I've taken it out a couple of times with no problems

Could you post some pics?

Good Luck!

Sounds like you might need to elongate the holes with a drill (more like an oval) and use lock washers to keep it from moving. I woudl do that as a last resort though more holes=bad

Maybe you didn't press the upper control arm bushings evenly into the housing. 1 pressed in more than the other could probably shift the rear-end.
