Need to know the proper length for my sway bar end links, its a 1 1/4" bar. I'm buying poly end links from summit and wondering if they can be too long. the longest they sell is with a 4 1/2" sleeve, I figure the longer it is, the less chance of the steering tie rods to hit it at full lock to lock. thanks for input! graemlins/beers.gif graemlins/beers.gif graemlins/beers.gif graemlins/beers.gif graemlins/beers.gif

The total length of the bolts in the end link kit(Moog) I originally got were 8 1/4" and would not fit my 70 with the stock 1 1/8" sway bar. The bolts would hit the ball joint on the upper arm. The end link was to fit 64-72 years. I took them back to Napa and they gave me the kit for 73 and newer which the bolts were 1" shorter and these worked for my car.

I compared the length to the old ones I removed and they were the same.

But as I'm reading your post again, you really were only looking for the bushing length, correct? I can measure mine tonight and let you know if you want?

The links themselves are a bit over 7". Not sure about the sleeves, but looks like you've got one measurement coming already.

Not sure what impact using longer sleeves will have on the sway bar, but I've got a '70 with the 1-3/8" bar and have no trouble with the normal bolts.

This comes more into play after lowering the front, but the arms should be level or slightly angled up. To achieve this, you may need to cut the spacer and get a shorter grade 8 bolt.
