i have to admit that's one of the nicest 72's i've ever seen. the documentation is impressive.

It is certainly a beauty. Very nice car, very clean and looks good to me, but I'm no 72 expert.

Isn't that a great price for this car? I might consider selling mine and buy this.Is this the real deal?

I believe so...it's highly documented. I love everything about that car except that god awful line mid central side area on both sides...imo. But other than that that car is gorgeous. im drooling. :p

I had rather have your car for the $$$. Your's is a true 454 SS. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice car.

I don't know if the cowl tag rivets are "survivor" quality....

Bummer on the cowl tag rivets.

The front bumper looks bent otherwise it is an awesome looking car.

Couple of things about the car make me question its true "Survivor" status. The car has obviously been freshened up, and by doing so actually devalued, and vandalized a rather rare car. The intentions were good, but they are only original once. Here comes that question again about rocker mouldings on a SS. ;)

I also noticed the rivets as being suspect. The frame is way too clean for a car that age and that many miles.

Did the factory ever paint the gas tanks?

I can't read the build date on the trim tag but in the ad it says the car was bought in Nov. 71. So it has to be an early built car.

Great looking car. Back in 76 I bought a blue and black top 4spd w/ 402 and 45K miles on it for $2,600. It got stolen never to be recovered.:(
