: Stabilizer link hitting the ball joint

I'm starting to put my car together and I'm starting to run into some problems. My car is still on stands and today, I installed my stabilizer. When I started tightening the stab link, it started hitting the ball joint on the upper control arm. I made a few changes with my set-up that might cause this to happen. First change is I changed the coil spring to lower it by 2 inches, second change is the stab link is new from PST. Would any of this affect my problem or is there something wrong with the assembly.
Please advise.

Sounds to me like either the end-links or the bolts themselves are too long - what's hitting? The bar itself (which would tell me that it's the link) or the bolt-end?

Is it possible that the sway-bar is in upside-down? I don't remember if they have a curve to them or not...

The bolt end is the one hitting the end of the ball joint.

Try putting it on the ground, I think my drivers side one on my Elky might be close in the air with the suspension hanging, but if I remember correctly when you put it on the ground, all is good.

If you're not dropping the bolt down from above (where the nut is below the LCA) then that might be worth a try. Make sure the swaybar is centered, too.

Otherwise, I think we may be back to endlink length. I can get out there tonight and check the measurements on mine, but I ended up using the old endlink spacer-tube-thingies with my new links, the new ones were too long.

I have the bolt up from the bottom. Should it be from the top going down? Or does it matter which way as long as it's now hitting anything?

I've always had the bolt up from the bottom... Is the car still up on jacks? The position will change some after it's back on the ground. Also how much of the bolt tail is poking out past the nut? You might have to trim it some. I used some links that were shorter than stock replacements to center the bars end kinda in the middle of the whole works... That means trimming the spacer and the bolt to make it all work out.
