I can't seem to find anyone who makes a reproduction of the '68 SS hood.
However OPG said that a '69 SS hood is the same and will fit as long as I get the '69 hood hinges.
I was just curious as to if this would really work.

Yep, it will, 68 hood with 68 hinges or 69 hood with 69 hinges will fit 68's & 69's.

Yep i had to get the 69 hood and hinges for my 68!

I have the goodmark hood and hinges on my 68 and was surprised how well it looks and fit.
