Someone Help Please:
I am in the process of changing out the entire running gear on my 1965 Chevelle and while under the car I wanted to replace the body to frame bushings and bolts. I had a body shop replace my trunk floor and the two rear mounts under the truck floor but they did not have time to do all the bushings.
I started trying to replace them today while I was waiting for the transmission to drain but was unable to jack the body off the frame far enough to get the old bushings out plus the front bushing bolt on the drivers side rang off while loosing it.
I know this cannot be rocket science its just something I have never done before and any good advice or shortcuts would be appreciated.
To be sure I had them all loose on a 2 door hardtop how many are there on each side, I could only find 5, 2 in the rear, 2 along mid section of frame and one just before the front tire. Both sides of course but I only worked on the dirvers side.
Thanks in advance for any help.
