I bought the front discs from a 69SS chevelle to put on my 68 Malibu. They are completely rebuilt. I also bought a new non power master cyl. and a factory type disc/drum proportioning valve. Everything is spec'd for a 69 not a 68. Is this all direct bolt on or does something else need to be done. Also the new master cyl looks like my stock drum master cyl., But the units on my friends cars with Power front discs looks larger. Is the non power front disc master cyl the same as the drum brake master cylender? If not, why would a power brake setup have a larger capacity master cyl. than a non power brake setup?

I have heard that a non power master cylinder has a deeper pocket for the brake rod to go in. Check the bore, or the part that the brake pedal rod would go into. On a power master cyl. their should only be about 1/4" of lip. On a non power it will be deeper or about 1" or so. So I've heard anyway. I've never seen one.
