If you are looking to replace only the m.c., then you do not need to unbolt anything under the dash. If you intend to remove/replace the booster, you must disconnect the push rod from the brake pedal. I believe it is a simple clip on the end of a grooved shaft. If you do this, just take note of which hole it came out of...there is more than one hole in your brake pedal and it's just better to mark it with white-out or a piece of tape to avoid confusion later. I hope that answers your question...post back if not.

I know it's common sense but bench bleed the MC prior to installation and make sure it (power brake MC) requires the same intermediate rod as the old one. And the PB clevis rod goes in the lower hole on pedal to compensate for PB booster angle.

I have put 4 new boosters on my cars in the past couple of months. It is fairly simple process, I just put the new master cylinder on after i secure the booster on the firewall first. Also make sure the length is right on the threaded rod going to your brake pedal. It could make your brake lights stay on if the length is too short.

If it's a complete kit them all you'll have to do it make sure the clevis/threaded rod that goes thru the firewall is adjusted properly as stated. And it goes in the lower hole. You can't use your old manual MC. Must use one for disc/drum.

Most kits have a new pin with a cotter pin, so you do not have to get that clip back on the old pin

Power Brake pedals are naturally lower. On Camaros there is a special clip that bolts to the brake pedal to activate the plunger for the brake lights when using power brakes. It's available aftermarket. There is also no return spring used on power brakes.
