: wheels and camber don't look right?

I'm doing a frame off on a 70BB chevelle conv. Here's where I'm at....frame has rear end, front and rear suspension, brake lines, engine, tranny and tires.

All went together OK but where the tires should tilt inward from the bottom, they don't...they do the opposite, they tilt outward. When I reinstalled the front sway bar, it's almost touching the ball joint on the upper arm. There doesn't seem to be enough weight on the frame with just the engine and tranny on it.. It looks like the control arms should be higher??

Any suggestions?
Thanks, Duff

Not really sure what you are asking. Get the car put together and take it to an alignment shop.

Is the body on the frame, is the engine in the chassis? If the answer to either of these questions is yes then there isn't enough weight on the front suspension yet.

Did you torque the bushing bolts on the control arms while the car was in the air?

If so, loosen 'em and set the car down. Then tighten 'em. You could be holding it up too high with the torsion of the bolts.

The engine and tranny are in, but the body is not on.

Don't worry about all that until you get all the weight on the car. It's seriously unloaded right now.
