My 69 SS fully restored with a points dizzy and the M20, 3.55 12 bolt just like when I bought it. I have the original rear end, driveshaft, transmission, heads, and even door panels, seat covers and dash. Lost the block along the way, though, quite a few years ago.

When my son leaves for college I'll do a frame off. I'm not so interested in just going fast anymore. Kind of getting more into seeing how good I can get a given combo to run. It would be just a ton of fun to run a stocker and see what it will do.

I would assemble a team - I would hand my car over to Jody, Troy and Derek with specific instructions to "do some stuff, make it fast, make it handle, I want 1 g on the skidpad and make it look cool"

Then I would likely just wait for the weld sparks to die down and the turbo whine to begin. :D

A grecian green 1968 SS chevelle, black vinyl top, modern LS engine with low compression to run on regular gas, but still have close to 400 hp, overdrive tranny, posi rear with 3.55 gears. Stinger hood.
Bucket seat, interior in black leather, a/c, cruise control, power windows, tilt steering, 17 inch wheels with redline tires. modern suspension with rack and pinion steering. All lowered about 2 inches all the way around.

Mine....
except
new paint...
no rust...
no vinyl top...
a 500+ cu in blown motor.... 10-71 +
a 4 speed - or clutch auto...
and a backhalf...

and the funny thing is...
i probably wouldnt even race it or drive it...

I would probably just idle it and stare at it for hours on the driveway... before I park it... ><

maybe it is too much of a dream?

I am by no means saying I am a good, or even decent driver... but with the people on the road these days, it is hard to drive something that I appericate so much around.

Probably a 67 SS396 L78, 4 speed, 3.73 gears. Marina Blue, with blue bucket seat interior, no vinyl top. Sad thing is I know exactly where this car is, but with the base 396, all matching numbers and very restorable. The guy won't sell it and I have asked him about 10 times over the past 10 years. It just sits under his carport

i always wanted any LS6 1970 chevelle since i took a ride back in 1981 in a friends silver with black stripes 70 LS6 that had an automatic trans with 4:10 posi rear.
i could never afford one though as they were always more pricey than a 396 car but i always said to myself one day i will get a LS6 chevelle.
my dream did come true this september 2 2009 almost 28 years later after i had that memorable ride back in 81.
working very hard and doing well in business over the years i finally got enough dough and aquired the car of my dreams.
1970 triple black LS6 with M22.
all numbers matching with build sheet.
i really did not care about what color the LS6 chevelle would be but it had to have 4 main ingredients for me.
cowl induction hood,gauges,4 speed trans and posi.
its a huge bonus that the car is triple black with tuxedo black paint/black vinyl roof and black bucket seats interior with console.
dreams do come true guys, never say never:yes:

The car I have now but with modifications.....
4 wheel discs and a Gear Vendors along with a lower gear rear.
I'm good with what I have.
It was/is my dream that came true.

Only car I would possibly trade for would be my first car at 17.
'69 Mach I 428CJ 4 speed with shaker.
Then I'd have to think about it............(wish I could have both)
