Been killing one of these in my basement almost every day lately.
Know what it might be?

They are VERY quick and can jump like crazy.

That's what Barbara said too but I don't believe I've ever seen a cricket like this.
It's cousins do chirp at me once in a while though. :D

It's a camelback cricket, also called spider cricket. I get them in my house sometimes. See link below.

We get those in our house once in a while. You have to move pretty quick to catch them. I'll send mine up to your house Dean. :D

They are either that, IRS bugs, or something really good-fishbait.

Thats the Tingler! They're known for crawling in your ears at night when your asleep then attaching to your brain stem. Once attached they take you over with mind control. If you find yourself driving down the road and you start admiring rustangs then it is probably to late your already infected.

I've seen a few of those in my house too. Crickets are black but these are kinda tanish color. I just let em be cause they're kinda fun to watch and they don't hurt anything.

We have those, too. Or used to, 'till we called the bug man. My wife called them Neanderthal crickets. :D
