many guys can fit them behind the heads, but my engine is set back further than most. I made brackets and mounted them under the headers, at oil pan rail height.

Yep March system, not my favorite but I'm stuck with it for now. THink I would have changed to a single belt system if I could do it again. Cost is about the same after you add everything up. I like this one the best:

Bowtie-72 Oct 12th, 09, 5:48 PM Mine is pretty well listed in my sig-pic is there too. 1999 5.7, gm's HOT cam, vortec heads with 1.6 roller rockers, Holley Stealth Ram intake, Accel injectors, GMC Typhoon throttle body opened to 52mm and setup by TPIS, re-pinned GM truck wiring harness, Camaro and Vette sensors, Corsica ECM with 1992 Vette chip reflashed to custom specs (@ 95% tuned right now). The only non-GM stuff other than listed was the fuel pressure regulator from SYTY.com.
Hopefully over the winter I will finish the serpentine belt setup and then add a cold air tube. Eventually the A/C will be hooked back up too.

How did you shave it or is that an aftermarket firewall?
camcojb Oct 13th, 09, 9:06 PM How did you shave it or is that an aftermarket firewall?
Mark Stielow did that when he originally did the car. I believe he fit and welded in flat sheetmetal; there are no aftermarket firewalls like that as far as I know.

hey, can I ask where you got that 1 piece water pump hose from?
SleeperBBC Oct 25th, 09, 10:53 AM hey, can I ask where you got that 1 piece water pump hose from?
It is not a one piece. It has an adapter at the upper rad inlet. The hose is from Rock Auto because all the local parts places assume the GenIII and GenIV hoses are the same. They are not because the angle to the water pump inlet is very different. I cut a small section and used a 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" adapter and shrink hose clamps to make it look clean.
