What do you folks use for classic auto insurance? I seem to remember J.C. Taylor Co. I have a 68 driver that's worth no more than $20k - for now.

Quote I received from my current insurer (Farmers) is ~$1550/yr with a $1000 deductible. This car won't drive more than 5k miles/yr.

I have American Collectors. $50k agreed value,$100 deductible with a platinum motor club membership for $339 per year.

I have State Farm insurance and 10K coverage for 6 months is $38 and 15K for 6 is like $56. It goes up a couple dollars each six months so this next payment that is coming up will probably be low $40's for 10K and around $60+/- for 15K. They have several of mine and my Fathers and we are happy with them so far.

Thanks all, very much, for the leads. Need to find a company that:
1. Doesn't require the primary driver to be 25 yrs old (son is 18 in Dec - sometimes uses my user name to post here. Need to watch his sentence structure!)....and
2. Doesn't require primary driver to have another car for primary driving. I.e. he'll be taking this to school and out with the g'friend and needs to be covered there.

American collectors, I believe, requires 25 year old drivers but I'll verify. Any others to check into? Farmers is quoting me (him) $1550, but includes his coverages on the boring Honda family cars as well.

I seriously doubt that any collector car insurance can be found for a young driver to be able to drive the vehicle daily, or even drive it at all, for that matter.

I have American Collectors on my 70. Your right nobody under 25 can drive it.

I am useing Grundy for collector insurance. Agreed value of $65,000 for $450 a year. I get unlimited mileage but am ristricted to drivers over 25 years of age. I do not belive you will find a collector car insurance that will allow young drivers, may have to go with a regular insurance company. Good luck on your hunt for insurance.
