My 10 year old son and 5 year old girl drove the "new" Chevelle this afternoon. Each took a turn sitting on my lap and drove it around the yard, my son's eyes were wide and he was beside himself. My daugher loved it too, she blew the horn at my MIL who lives next door.

They have been warned to never get behind the wheel without me until they have licenses (unlike their father :D).

That's cool, I do that with my son (started when he was 7) He loves it, I let him go a mile or so, Does pretty good steering.

My daughter and I used to do that in the Corvette. I miss those days.:yes:

I do that with my son a lot... we live on a gravel dead-end road, so I let him sit on my lap and we go to the corner and back at about 10mph. He's not very good at steering though... he's almost 2.

That's how I started, except it was a 35 Plymouth.

We live in the country and our yard is a couple of acres. We drive on the grass all of the time around here, they also drove it on our gravel drive.
