I was wanting to lift my beautiful 70 3 to 6 inches I would greatly appreciate letting me know what has and hasn't worked in the past.

i've seen liften el caminos on blazer chassis before. Seen 2 in my lifetime. Talked to 1 guy and he told me it was a blazer chassis. WHy would you want to lift it up to 6in!!!! graemlins/clonk.gif

I agree 6 is overboard, but 3 would look good, were not talking step ladder, and a gun rack. just a clean looking lift.

I'm sorry but if you want a lifed vehicle, switch to a real truck, not an El Camino. By lifing an a-body you will cause horrorendest handling problems. These cars arn't made for off road.

i like the extra ground clearence, I live in a very rural area on a dirt road. New springs and tall tires raised my 64 El Camino almost 3". This 3" was from its previous height with the old springs, probably about 1.5" over factory height.
