Does anyone recall what the car left the showroom with in 1972. The car is a bucket seat car with a console and a factory 4 speed with the original muncie shifter? Thanks for your help!

:noway: 4 speed with console got the chrome ball, same as 1970. At least thats what I've seen in cars that looked original...

That is what I was thinking too, DB. But I wasn't exactly sure about '72's so I didn't say anything.

I think Jeff74 is right. This is what is on my original 28,000 mile 72, black knob, tapered sides with a flat top. Just making sure. :)

Really.....interesting... maybe a plant to plant thing, or all the cars I've seen had them replaced....

My '72 had the chrome ball when it was dragged out of hibernation for 28 years.

Bucket seat console car.

I have since replaced the shifter with a Hurst comp plus & a black ball.
