I need a few bicycle parts anodized. All of the local anodizers around here are set up for production runs, and won't touch singles. Anyone know of a shop who will do piece work?

Not sure how close you are to these guys or if they do anodizing but they did a one off job for me and the price was reasonable.

Might help if your location was a little more narrowed down than just 'Out West'.

I used these guys YEARS ago for a few small chrome parts for my Chevelle. I think they still do anodizing too...

I agree, but of course, Mike's profile has no info at all...

Its been discussed here before, Why don't people put a town and state, or even if its just in the same region... If we do research on TC, we can probably find where most people are anyway, so why not post it up there???

I was planning on FedExing the parts to the shop anyway, anywhere works...

I'm in OC right now, I am going to swing by the OCPlating place. I don't see anodizing listed, though.

since you're anoing bike parts you must be very particular about finish. These boat guys are as well. Well respected guys are throwing out recommendations in the thread, so take your pick.

http://www.focuser.com/anodize.html It may be cheaper to get the kit and do it yourself. Back in the day, car craft had a story on how to anodize aluminum, basically a battery, cloth dye, electrolite. I think you started by boiling the part, hooking it to the batterys positive, stick a anode to the negative in the electrolyte with the dye in it. let it sit for a few minutes and viola! your anodized. jim
