Help me identify what year/make this is:
I saw it on an auction listing coming up, it said it was a 41 Ford coupe but i dont think it looks exactly right for a 41 Ford.
I always wanted a 37-40 Ford but not sure if this is a Mercury or Willys maybe?

the grill openings are right for a zephyer, but the opera window is throwing me off. it's almost like somebody threw a zephyr front on a ford coupe. i don't think i'm correct....

yes it kindof looks like a Zephyr grille thats why i was leaning that way but never found one that has the 5 window like you said.
could be a hybrid.

you have to also remember, back then, in the high end cars, almost no two were a like. though i don't remember ever seeing a zepyhr with an opera window, it doesn't mean wasn't built for somebody. i've been looking everywhere, i can't find any other nake with those grille openings, but the hood is also different than any ford or merc i can find...

i was just told this is a 40 or 41 Studebaker Commander Coupe by the guys on the H.A.M.B.
i still see some discrepancies though.

i really like the gold coupe. the Gasser look is a big thing right now, yeah that would be cool!
I would love to build a drag car out of it but pretty heavy!
i think parts are quite rare and hard to find.
Thanks for your help Bill!
