I installed a set of Russell stainless lines on the front of my 70, and when installed they face directly into the spring, which makes it look possible to snap them off. With little modifications, I can make them face backwards, they just hit the tire at full turn. All I need is for someone to look at their lines and tell me which way they are facing, or if easy, possibly snap a digital picture and email it to me if they want at

Any help would be great, I have been waiting a while for a response and would like to get this taken care of as soon as possible!

We need a little more info here like drums or disks and did you compare the new lines to the ones you removed first? Are the brackets correct for the brake hoses?. Let us know.

I just happen to have my right front apart (upper "A" arm bushings being replaced). Here's a shot that might help (it's a 71, but should be close):
Can you see it? (http://chevelles.com/showroom/Cecil/RightFrontBrakeLine.JPG)
The solid line exits the backing plate on the back side of the spindle, then turns down, forward, up into the bracket. The flex line (that I should probably replace!) goes up and back into the bracket on the frame...

Sorry about the lack of info, im braindead sometimes. They are disc so unfortunately the pics are different though, (extremely grateful although). The lines were with the car when I bought it, that is the one thing that I have always been wondering about, and I cant compare, because I never had the originals. I am almost positive that the clips and hardware and everything are correct, but not completely. Thanks for any help!

Have you called or e-mailed Russell (Edelbrock now) with this question? I have had good results with the Edelbrock tech guys over the years.

I called Russell about six months ago, and they could not help too much. They just ran me around in circles.
