My 70 el camino has a small brass block between the brake line and the master cylinder for the rear brake line. It just looks like it takes up the space between the line and the master cylinder. The only thing I see on the outside is a "petcock" fitting that can be open I guess to drain the master cylinder. This brass block is leaking and I cant find one on ground up, yearone, el camino store, etc.
Any ideas what this is and where I can find a repacement?

Hi Scott, I have a 70' ElCamino and also have a brass block on the brake lines to the rears. I believe what you need is in the Ground up catalog and part # FPR-107. Its called a distribution valve. My ElCamino has all drum and Im putting front disc swap on it. Does your fitting have a electrical plug on it? I do not have power brales and I believe this block acts like a residual valve and controls the pressure between front and rears. Im no expert on this but the valve is on the left frame rail just below the fire wall on drivers side.

Thanks Craig. This valve does not have an electrical plug on it. I'll try this part number and see what happens. Many thanks!!
