i have a 74 camaro and i am having some trouble with the front brakes. the front driverside caliper is draggging and i can't make it stop. i have replaced both calipers, brake hoses, rotors, master cylinder, and combination vavle/proportion valve, and repacked both berings. it is still dragging and is getting very hot. i am afraid that eventually it will catch on fire. does anybody out there know what my problems is stemming from and how to fix it? is there anything other than the adjusting vacuum booster or different sized master cylinders that maybe i don't know about? i'm only 17 so any help would be greatly appreciated!

did you replace the caliper bolts, or at least clean them up and make sure the caliper can float back and forth freely? take out the pads and put the caliper back on and see if it moves back and forth freely with your hand- if not, figure out why.if the bolts are rusty, they can bind the caliper in one poisition- which will always be the dragging position, due to the pressure from the brake hose pushing the piston out. also make sure where each end of the caliper hits the spindle is free of rust and junk, and put a tiny bit of white grese on all sliding parts to allow things to move freely. do this, and it should fix your problem, as you've replaced everything else already.
oh, yeah- check the hardline that goes to that caliper, as well. if it got pinched or flattened, it might not allow the fluid to go back towards the master when the pedal is released. if it's bad, it needs to be replaced.
