I`m working on a 71 Chevelle and found that the reason the wiper motor does not work is a broken ceramic looking resistor (at least I think its a resistor). My question is can this resistor be replaced and were can I get one.

Thanks

Where is this Resistor, Inside the wiper motor ? Or mounted to the firewall ?

Its attached to the backside of a 3 pronged terminal and is about the size of a fuse.

Sounds like the plug to the back of the rear defrost switch ?
The wiper speeds are controlled by different brushes on the wiper motor armature, so I don't think that's for the wiper motor  can you post a pic (or a link to a pic)
and where exactly is it ?
