Deluxe 300 SS

I am restoring a 69 SS 396 and decided to re-do the brakes while I had it apart, even though they were working OK. This has been a nightmare!
I sent the master cylinder to the Brake Place in Minneapolis to be re-sleaved with stainless steel and rebuilt, and I purchase "reproduction" brake lines and front and rear cylinders and an exact reproduction front proportioning valve.
First the new brakelines were leaking at several of the connections and I removed them and it looks like the double flares are not quite correct, so I put the original lines back on. That fixed the leaks, but now I can't seem to bleed the system. The master cyl seems to bench bleed OK, and I gravity bled the rear cylinders with no problem, but no fluid will come out of the front bleeders by gravity or by pumping the brake pedal. If I have all the bleeders shut and put steady pressure on the pedal it will slowly go to the floor.
Any help will be greatly appreciated as I have spent at least 30 hours working on this. I am using silicone fluid (thank goodness because of all the leaks!) and have rebuilt several corvette brake systems using silicone fluid with no problems.
Thanks!!
Jim
