The first couple of years of disc brakes had two piece rotors around 68 to 70. Anybody know how to get these apart ???
I was told the hub should seperate from the rotor.
I don't see the seam or seperation on the backside.
Thanks

I'm not an expert on this by any means, but I don't believe anything made in 1970 by Detroit would have had two piece rotors.

OOps, I guess it's misleading the way I worded it. i should have said 'early rotor hub assembly".
They are kind of rare. After early 1970, GM made the hub part of the rotor assy.
I finally got tired of beating on it, put the rotor upside down in a press, and pressed out the hub.
I saw an article somewhere on the net where a 12" Corvette rear rotor can be mounted on top of a 68 to early 70 disc brake hub, and Wa-La, you got cheap 12" big brakes. A vette or mid 70's C-10 pickup caliper is used. The caliper bracket needs modified.
If it works for the Camaro people, it should be good to go for Chevelles too.
I'll try to find the link and post it.
