I'm rebuilding the front end of my '66 and low and behold after sandblasting, there's a crack on the passenger side lower control arm close to where the ball joint is located. I need to get a replacement and I'm not sure other than a '67, what will fit my car. What other years will fit this car? Any problems using Buick, Pontiac, or Olds parts? Any help is appreciated!

I think the lower control arm is the same from 64-72 and BOP are all the same also
now this is an I think
but that is what I was told along time ago
the only difference was that some had oval bushing in rear and some were round

Thanks Herb, those mods look like a big improvement over stock handling. Right now though, I'm just trying to get the darn thing back on the road after 7 years of sitting. I still don't know what years will fit what so I think I'm just going to have to go out to a junk yard and start measuring just to make sure. Fun times ahead!!

No problem. I'm in the same boat. I'm still in the tear-down mode also. Getting ready to lift the body off the frame and strip it for galvanizing. I thought you might find Pete Lohr's mods interesting. If you explore his site, you will find other good info. to strengthen your suspension. Pete is the moderator of the Station Wagon forum of this site and VP of the Virginia Chevelle Enthusiasts Assn. He supplies those boxing and suspension bolt upgrade kits to help us VCEA members improve our rides. Not a commercial for Pete, just info for you to consider.

Hollander doesn't show the BOP car arms as replacements. Only 64-72 Chevelle, 70-72 Monte and Elky/Sprint.
