I just replaced my front springs with hotchkis 1" drop springs. I'm looking for the right spring for the rear to give the car a slight rake. Any suggestions? I was thinking of using Hotchkis rear coils minus the 1" drop. The people at Hotchkis suggest using their 1" drop rears but i'm thinking the stance won't be quite right. Oh, the car is a 67 ragtop.

I'm using the Hotchkis drop springs all the way around, and ended up cutting 1/3 of a coil from the front coils. I have air bags in the rear springs now. If you look at my webpage, those pics are without the airbags.

So the stockers in the rear are probably the way to go then?

I guess it's all a matter of taste. I like the stance I have, but after 30 some odd years, stock springs aren't exactly holding the car like they did when new. If you go with air bags inside the rear springs (not air shocks) you can dial in the stance you want with a variety of different springs. I have my car sitting a little higher in the rear now. I really should take some new pics and update my page.
