anyone out there have experience with manual 4 wheel disc brakes? I have a 68SS with manual drum brakes that I am converting to 4 wheel discs. I only have 13-14 inches of vacuum, well below the recommended 18" of vacuum recommended for power brakes.I don't really want a vacuum pump or to have to re cam the motor so I need to know if the manual disc/disc system will work? Thanks for the help

Cheers

It's all in the pressures and volume of fluid. Not knowing specifics of your parts, go here

There's lots of resources here.
Additinally, check out the May 2004 copy of 'Classic Trucks'. They have an article on 'electric/hydraulic' brakes from American Brake and Steering 714-771-6549...no vacuum needed. This is the way I'm going, as I've had it w/ boosters, and my knees are getting older.
