Ok i have a set of 17x9 aluminum wheels and want to go a few inches wider on the rear.First off does anybody know where i can get this done and roughly how much it cost. Also does it pose any balancing issues ? Any info on this would be great.

Look for a shop that repairs damaged alloy wheels. Here in Tucson, we have one called "Nuwheel". Have no clue as to the charges.

What brand & style wheel is it? Might be cheaper to just sell those and buy a wider wheel.
The problem with widening a wheel is that you can into backspace issues.

Oh so they only legnthen the back part of the rim..just dawned on me lol. yeah i have been compteplating buying some very similar wheels. They are some cheap ones i purchased off ebay that only come in that size. But they look just like an anthracite/metallic grey coated center and spoke tourqe thrust wheel. Ijust didnt know which would be cheaper. The rims i looked at are 200-10 without shipping.

Any local wheel shop will know where to get it done and they'll take charge of the shipping and costs.

How much wider do you want? Usually when they get wider than 10" they start going to a two peice or 3 peice wheel and if thats what you have you can just change the rim
Or drum... And what b/s and width are you trying to end up with? They can only go so far and it be safe and with a cast wheel it really gets sketchy.
