From everything I have read it the front swaybar from the 2nd gen fbody will work. Try to get the swaybar thats 1.25 inches as that is the fattest they came with. If its not I believe you can still order the 1.25 from GM for like $70.

My Bad, I thought I had read someone posted the price here with link a short while ago, I guess not GM but some other vendor. I couldn't find it in the archives. The GM part number for the 1.25 is 356534 . I Might have gotten it confused with the rear for A-bodies which is 394926 .
These guys make a inexpensive repop

All sway bars are "Not Created Equal".
It depends on what you are trying to achieve.
Just a daily driver, sometimes "Pedal To The Metal"?
"Canyon Carver"?
Maybe someone can chime in on some basic tech on this subject?

graemlins/thumbsup.gif Take a look at my webpage I posted a couple of posts up. That has some of the basic tech.
Now if you want to get into material specs and how they effect torsional loads then I can, but be prepared for a novel as you don't quite learn the "whole story" even in engineering school until your last few semesters of school.
Nothing like S-N curves to drain your enthusiasm for the subject :(
