i'm in the process of changing my dash harness.everyone says to drop steering column to get dash out.
all screws and bolts out,but column still up.any suggestions,did i miss something? thanks

What year model are you working on? Are you attempting to lower the column, or remove it altogether?

its a 67 chevelle.i just want to drop the column so i can take out the dash.

Your missed the bolts at the bottom of the steering column at the firewall and possibly the brace under the dash. There is a small plate there with 5 or 6 small bolts that hold the plate. Then it will drop down.
