Does anyone make a kit with brackets to weld on a 9 in ford rear so you can mount it under a chevelle? I picked up a 9 in ford here locally. I thought about putting it under my 70 chevelle since I will be running a big block in it? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Matt, I bought a kit from Morrison. The quality of their work was good but there design was the *****s.

This would be a very difficult install with the body on the frame

the center section is offset,,,will need to have the tubes cut to center the rearend under the car. I have a friend that tried to get a 9" cut to fit a G body, he's had a nightmare trying to get it right. Its back at the shop, getting the tube cut again, was off center by 1.5" graemlins/clonk.gif

I just recieved my chris alston fab 9 for my 66. It was under a grand with strange axles, studs, and bearings. It looks great. I will be installing next weekend.

It would be very dificult to do without the correct jig. (not imposible, just maybe not worth the effort) Also if you are installing new ends or shortening the width there is another jig they use to align the whole setup with a shaft that runs through both ends and a special center section to keep the alignment while it is rewelded.
Hope this helps,
Dan
