I have a 70 SS, I would like to raise the nose an inch or so, What is the best way? I would also like to raise the back a little also. I have heard that air bags will work how do you install them? The car currently has air shocks, which way should I go. Any suggestions would be great.

FF - I recently installed new springs, air bags and KYB gas adjust shocks on my 71 Chevelle - the car rides so much better than with the air shocks I used to have. The trick, I think is to get the right spring - Fred Aldrich helped me find the right one. I'll look for the part # and get to you ASAP. The air bags are inexpensive and easy as heck to install. They enable you to raise the rear an inch or so. They look kinda cool too, and as I have learned from the pros on this site, air shocks are not good for the suspension as they incorrectly redistribute the weight off the spring and onto the shock support. Finally, with new springs and KYB's I can feel a drastic improvement when punching it off the line.
