It's hard to put a value on a 68 SS hood unless you know the condition it's in. I would say a hood in good restorable condition would be worth around $500.00. They are not reproduced so anything that's not reproduced will be worth a little more. You can get a 69 repro hood which is basically the same hood, with different spacing for the hinge bolts, but it wouldn't be correct for a 68, if you care about that.

I got the new goodmark hood with the hinges as mentioned above for my 68. I was pleasantly surprised how well it fits. The body shop that painted the car and installed it said they really liked it. I don't know if I got lucky with this one though. Cost was about $350 plus hinges.

I've got a short hinge 68 that is near perfect, no rust and just 1 very small dimple the size of a dime in a very stout part of the hood where it can be worked without oilcanning. Shipping would really hurt though.

Grease, I'm liquidating all my stuff, I found the 1 set of fronts and 1 set of rears. I've looked through all the parts in my shop, still have my attic and my parent's barn, just haven't got there yet. Don't give up!
