Does anyone have any suggestions? I just installed new lower SSM bars on my 70 Chevelle, and I can’t line up the drivers side frame brace. The passenger side went in very easy, but not the other side. It’s about a half inch off to the forward direction, and just can’t get to line up. Right now everything is in and tight, cars drives fine, but I think I should get this brace hooked up.
Thanks,

Is this the frame brace that runs from the upper control arm mounting point to the lower control arm mounting point?

if these braces came off this car .... then the only thing I can think of is you've inverted the brace the slotted part goes to the bottem smile.gif

Yes, It is the brace that runs from the upper control to the lower control arm. I didn’t take them off when I replaced the lowers with SSM bars, and the passenger side went back on to the bolt easily. Just the driver’s side is moved forward about a half inch from lining up with the bolt.
Thank You,

you need to have the brace in place befor you put the bolt thru. pull the bolt back out untill it is not sticking thru, position the brace over the hole, then push the bolt thru. otherwise it will not line up. the brace must be in place befor you put the bolts thru. ;) graemlins/beers.gif
