I was wondering if one of you guys could help? I am doing a front disc conversion on my 67 El Camino. I replaced the original drum spindles with disc brake spindles from a 71 Chevelle. Everything bolted up fine, but I notice that the brake hoses stretch tight when I turn the wheel all the way in either direction. Is there a certain year and model of brake hose that I should be using, (something 2 inches longer with same fittings),instead of the 71 Chevelle hoses? I remember when I bought the setup years ago, I thought the owner said to use Camaro brake hoses, but he wasn't sure. Any info would be of great help. Thanx.... JohnO

Take one of the old hoses with you to double check the length, but as I recall, try: 69 camaro or 69-72 grand prix/monte carlo.

I just converted my 69 cutlass to disc and found the stock A body disc brake hose is too short at 12.5 inches from tip to tip. So I looked in the Wagner brake parts book and found a 14.5 inch hose for the 74 Monte Carlo that works perfectly. It is part # F80965. It also fit in my drum brake hose braket, so I didn't need to change that.

Thanx guys. This is my first rebuild since BC (before children), so I'll be back with more questions, I'm sure. GREATLY appreciated!
