and did all SS's have the F40 option?

F40 was just h.d. springs and shocks on all body styles except wagons. Wagons already had h.d. shocks standard so h.d. springs were added by F40. The SS came with a higher spring rate, but F40 could still be added to an SS.

I have a F40 on my 70 malibu.... i thought it meant i have a 12 bolt 3.31 posi. I want to lower my malibu... will have have any problem if my f40 springs were H D?
