Painted a steering wheel and some kick pads with a laquer paint that matches very closely the rest of the interior. Came out great and no sign of flaking off. Problem is it is a gloss paint and is to shiny. Went over the surface with a OOOO fine steel wool which helped, but not down in the grain. Anything I can put on it to knock down the sheen but not remove the paint? Tried an area with flat clear, but the shine still comes thru.
