: Rocker Moulding Yes/No?
71MalibuRag Sep 24th, 09, 4:18 PM Looks like the rocker moulding either didn't come on too many chevelles, or most people remove them. What is your opinon?
Would you re-install the rocker moulding or fill the holes?
Not an SS...no longer a Malibu (SS hood, stripes). Red/Black convertible. Mouldings are in good shape.
Thanks for your input.
grandsport Sep 24th, 09, 5:43 PM I personally like the rocker mouldings, especially on a black car.
JNorton Sep 24th, 09, 5:54 PM Mine had rocker mouldings, but not wheel opening mouldings (It looks like they were removed). When I am done, it will just the opposite without the rocker mouldings but with wheel opening mouldings.
TCSS1970 Sep 24th, 09, 9:59 PM I vote yes.
wills65 Sep 24th, 09, 10:08 PM Not the same year as you guys but, I removed mine and had the holes filled. It looks cleaner to me without the mouldings. I think its a personal preference thing though
Russtea2 Sep 25th, 09, 6:31 AM I'm in w/JNorton.....fender mouldings, no rocker mouldings
67shovel Sep 25th, 09, 8:10 AM I agree with Will, I'd leave them off since you've got the SS look going already
BIG EVIL CHEVELLE Sep 25th, 09, 8:13 AM This picture shows my preference

grandsport Sep 25th, 09, 8:37 AM Nice.
72soft-top Sep 25th, 09, 12:54 PM I just removed these panels and will be welding the holes. No rocker panel mouldings for me, but I will install wheel well mouldings.
I believe the rocker mouldings were NOT installed on the SS models; but as usual, exceptions probably exist?
Oh, I agree that it does look good on the black chevelle pictured above!
4-door Chevelle Dec 16th, 10, 2:21 PM I will be putting them on my 72 as it came with them.
thunderstruck507 Dec 16th, 10, 2:36 PM Not a fan
Ethan1 Dec 16th, 10, 3:12 PM Yes.
68Cpe307 Dec 16th, 10, 4:27 PM give me the full lenght.....but it also depends on the WHOLE car theme and what combination you like/want/need
MikeMalibu Dec 16th, 10, 4:51 PM Personal preference. Personally, I like the polished metal color on a white car.
cruizin ss Dec 16th, 10, 5:41 PM I like the look of my car better without them, but since I dont feel like welding up the holes anf repainting the car, mine are staying on for now.:(
FLASHED Dec 16th, 10, 7:30 PM I like mine with them.
