If I replace my 1970 distribution block with a combination valve from 71-72, do I need to drill?

Thanks

Im thinking but not sure of this, but from what i read 70 and later that they only had combo valves,no distrubution block. The combo valve was at on the frame rail with no vavle at the booster.

Pre 70 they had the metering valve up top at the booster and the dist block on the frame rail.

Try a search .

Do you mean drill the frame to mount the valve?
It needs to be mounted to a sturdy bracket or the frame rail, whatevers more convenient.

Yeah I have manual drums now with just a distribution block on the frame and I was wondering if the combination valve uses the same mounting holes? I will be switching over to discs.
