why can't I install the line lock before the proportioning valve, it would be a much cleaner install?

who said you can't? Usually the proportioning valve goes to the rear brakes, has nothing to do with with the front brakes???

Sure you can. As an added bonus, assuming your "BRAKE" idiot light is functioning, it'll light up when the line lock is being used due to the pressure differential between the front and rear lines.

As Larry says, you can do it and it will work just fine. Only downside (if you can call it that) is that your idiot light on the dash will light up when you engage the line lock. My brother and I have always liked that feature. I think it's cool, 'cause if the line lock ever stops working, the light won't go on!

FWIW, I plumbed ours that way and have been using it like that for two years. No probs.
