I'm getting ready to install my 4 speed console on my 69 SS. Where does the wire harness run from the dash harness to the console harness? I am having difficulty seeing where it makes sense to run the harness. I have both new harnesses for the console and the harness that connects to the main dash harness. The assembly manual doesn't show this. I assume it goes under the carpet somewhere and I assume I need to cut a slot in the carpet where it meets the console harness?

There is a cut out in the carpet, for the front console bracket. I ran the harness thru that cut out, under the carpet, up to the top of the carpet just under the heater box. Then up to the main harness connection.
