: Red Body Color Ralleys?

Has anyone out there painted their ralley wheels red?

I have a 64 convertible and have been kicking around the idea of painting the ralleys ember red. The same as the body. I would still use the trim ring and either the disk brake cap (converted to 4 wheel disk) or the standard cap.

Anyone out there have pictures of something like this?

Opinions?

Thanks
Mark

Personally I prefer the original silver on ralleys.

I've seen several cars with the ralleys painted body color. You might try googling "vette ralley" and see what comes up.

Argent Silver is my vote. Contrast is nice with the red body. I have toyed with the idea of body color rally's too, but I think that "too much of a good thing" is just that, if you know what I mean.

I'm toying with the idea of painting mine body color on the outer rim and black on the inner part with the slots - probably will try it when I get my set of 4.5" BS rims.

Agreed 100%...leave the color-keyed wheels to Oldsmobile.
To me,painting the wheels to match the car is like painting your calipers and drums yellow or red...99.999% it never looks right.:noway:
