How long is it measured from the center of the u-joint caps?

I'll take some pics showing lenght. I do know this is shorter than the TH-400 driveshaft. I compared it against my friend's LS6 one and is quite shorter. This driveshaft has been sitting indoors for over 20 years. Interesting fact is that I can not see the stripes, but is seems to have original paint on it and original U-joints, also.

I thought the yoke and pinion ends were necked down from a larger diameter...

Confirmed, not a Chevelle driveshaft:(. It belongs to a F body car. Dumb question, but what's a F body?
