Sorry if you read this question last time, 1 + months ago, but has anyone read about or seen a front disc conversion kit that will fit within a 14" rim ???? I like the look of my stock hubcaps and dont wanna give them up.
Stockton Wheel wasn't much help over the email, in case that was your advice.

I did a conversion on my 65 and I used 14" rallies, I can either run rallies or pop my hubcaps on. You just need to find some early 70' steel wheels and you should be fine. My disc brake parts were of a 70 elcamino.

I used the 14"x 6" rally wheels from a 67 and my 64 SS caps over the Disk that came on all A & F bodies. You can find some of the 70ds 14 x 6 wheels with the square holes (cheap) and use your SS caps instead of trim rings. Good trim rings and center caps would cost you more than the wheels.

The 14" rims that were used on the early disk cars should fit over a 11" disk setup that uses a stock type Chevelle rotor.
This is what I would do. Strip your drum spindles down and then get the top boss machined down to the disk spindle size, which is removing about 0.61" of material. Then, go to a supplier and buy a set of reproduction single piston caliper brackets for the later cars which will now bolt onto the spindle. Finally, add the rotor and caliper to match and convert to a disk/drum master and proportioning valve and you're ready to go. I believe the repro brackets don't cost much more than people sell the generic flat conversion brackets for these days.
Check out David's conversion page at;

Once you've read that he's got lots of other info on his site as well that's interesting.
The only part of this I'm not 100% certain of is that the drum spindle was the same from 65 to 70. I know the drum brake equipped cars 67-70 can be converted this way so as long as you've got the same drum spindle as these cars you can do it.

70'ish disc 14" wheels have 4 nubs which hold a dish hubcap. on later rims, which will not work, only have 3. so i think like others have said, you can find stock rims that will work, i have a bunch but shipping would suck.
