A friend of mine who is a professional mechanic with a company that maintains historic race cars (NASCAR, IMSA, etc) swapped out the rear gear and rebuilt my 12 bolt for me. Ever since, when I turn left, the rear end pops something terrible however when I turn right there is no noise. My buddy tells me it is because he packed the rearend VERY tight (it definately hooks up with both legs when ya stand on it! graemlins/thumbsup.gif ) however I would think the poping noise would happen regardless of the diretion I'm turning. Is this normal and is my buddy being on the "up and up" with me? graemlins/clonk.gif

Do you have a 4 ounce bottle of GM limited slip additive added to the gear oil? Without it the clutches in the unit will pop terribly. If it's setup tight you may need two bottles to get the popping (Grabbing clutches) to go away.
