It seems The flexible vinyl trim that goes on the lower metal skit/apron for the 66-67 bucket seats is only available in chrome.:( Unless someone knows different. Chevy matched this to the color of the vinyl seat, whereas the other GM divisions used chrome.

Looking for recommendations as to whether to use SEM or Krylon Fusion products. Anyone do this? Did you use primers or special adhesion products? Thanks.

I just tried painting a set blue for a friend and after it dried good it cracked when it was bent. I think we are going to try a flex agent in some interior paint and shoot it on with a gun. I will let you know if it works.

an adhesive promoter will help it stick.

Don, did you use a paint for plastic or just an interior paint?

The SEM Color Coat mentions both flexible and rigid vinyl and plastic; but I wonder if its really that flexible.

I used a plastic paint and the clear plastic primer, what ever the plastic chrome pc's have on them it did not stick.

I wonder if you rubbed it down good with lacquer thinner or muratic acid, if that would clean it and somehow treat the surface enough to make the paint stick. Maybe there is someway to strip it mylar (sp)?
