Hi folks. My car is hard to keep going in a straight line. (67 Chevelle) In the last 6 months my mechanic's replaced the front suspension and steering box (3 1/2 turn), boxed the rear contol arms & done upgraded large frnt & rear sway bars & Bilstein shocks, etc. It has recent 2" shorter springs also. I've had it to 3 alignment shops who can find nothing wrong with the front end. When I unweight one front wheel on a dip there is a metalic click sound which may or may not be related.
Any ideas?
thanks

This is just a thought , but have you tried different tires to see if it is related?. Also if it goes to the left you might try swapping front tires side to side and see if it goes the other way. Alot of pulling or wandering problems are related to radial tire pull and may not indicate a suspension problem at all

I agree with smittyocat You could have a tire pull. i would try swapping the front tires Rt to Lt or try differnt tires. Wide tires will also have a tendancy to follow the grooves in the road.

The front tires are 15 x 7 but they may have been run out of alignment and could be mis-worn. Thanks for the tips
