Went to Autozone today to pick up a set of collector gaskets, and noticed a friend's '68 Firebird parked in front. I walk in, found my gaskets, strangely didn't see my friend, but when I went up to the counter the guy ringing me up must have assumed I was the owner of the Firebird, adding up the fact that I was buying 3" header collector gaskets and that I smelled like gas. So as he's ringing me up, he says, "that your Firebird?" to which I reply, plenty loud to let my 'friend' hear it somewhere in the small store, "I don't drive no pu$$y Firebird." The guy behind the counter kind of laughs, realizing that I must know the owner and am just ribbing him a little. Oddly, my friend doesn't fire back about my 'redneck' El Camino. Oh well, must just be ignoring me I guess. I leave and realize the Firebird has out of state plates, but otherwise is the same color and wheels, etc. . . as my friend's. I left real quick.
